Chainlink LINK News - Asset manager Bitwise has taken a decisive step toward bringing institutional-grade chainlink exposure to mainstream markets. The firm filed with the SEC on August 26 for a spot Chainlink ETF, which would hold LINK tokens directly—a first for US markets if approved. Chainlink's oracle network has become critical infrastructure, connecting smart contracts with real-world data across Ethereum and other blockchains. Its LINK token, currently ranked 11th by market cap, rewards node operators for this vital work. The network's growing traction with traditional finance giants like SWIFT and JPMorgan underscores its hybrid crypto-traditional finance appeal. Bitwise's proposed fund would track LINK's value after fees, offering investors a regulated pathway to exposure. This move comes as Chainlink continues bridging decentralized and conventional finance—a narrative that's increasingly resonating with institutional players.
